Suomi Front LHG ensures accuracy is at the forefront of our impressions, to honour and respect all who were involved on the Finnish front!

Suomi Front is a re-enacment group, comprised of individuals with a shared passion for Finnish military history who wish to share that knowledge.

None of our members are paid for the time they invest in the group, and all of the extensive range of original artifacts are privately owned, funded by the members themselves.

For some of our members, participating in Suomi Front LHG’s activities is a way to remember their relatives who fought during the conflict.

FAQs

What does Suomi Front LHG do?

Suomi Front LHG attends a number of military shows between April and September, showcasing real weaponry, equipment, uniforms, and stories from Finland 80+ years ago. Members of the public are able to handle much of the equipment, giving a unique interaction that many museums are unable to offer.

How did Suomi Front LHG start?

Suomi Front LHG was created when a small collection of individuals with a shared goal of improving the accurate portrayal of Finnish forces came together. A mixture of experiences with re-enactment prior to joining Suomi Front LHG has helped the group to become dynamic and adaptable.

What are the aims of Suomi Front LHG?

Suomi Front LHG has three major aims - accuracy, education, and enjoyment. We seek to create the most accurate portrayal, using original equipment wherever possible; provide useful education to members of the public; and be both a fun group to learn from, as well as be in!

Where can I find out more about the group?

Our social channels will be regularly updated with our event activities, but the best way to find out more is to find us at a show! If you have any specific, burning questions however, you can also email us or use the contact form on this website.
