Suomi Front LHG is a re-enacment group, dedicated to recreating the actions of Finnish Infantry Regiment 44, with a focus on historical accuracy. Re-enactment brings history to life, allowing participants and audiences to experience moments from the Continuation War (1941-1944) through authentic costumes, props, and settings.
Our members comprise of amateur historians and military enthusiasts with a shared passion for Finnish history, none of whom are paid for the time they invest in the group or sourcing our range of original artifacts.

What does Suomi Front LHG do?
Suomi Front LHG attends a number of military shows generally between April and September, showcasing real weaponry, equipment, uniforms, and stories from Finland 80+ years ago. Members of the public are able to handle much of the equipment, giving a unique interaction that many museums are unable to offer.
How did Suomi Front LHG start?
Suomi Front LHG was created when a small collection of individuals with a shared goal of improving the accurate portrayal of Finnish forces came together. A mixture of experiences with re-enactment prior to joining Suomi Front LHG has helped the group to become dynamic and adaptable.
What are the aims of Suomi Front LHG?
Suomi Front LHG has three major aims - accuracy, education, and enjoyment. We seek to create the most accurate portrayal, using original equipment wherever possible; provide useful education to members of the public; and be both a fun group to learn from, as well as be in!
